Halie is experienced and knowledgeable about the key issues facing our town with proven leadership to move Nolensville forward.
My name is Halie Gallik and I am asking for your support as I run to continue serving as a commissioner in Nolensville. I have had the honor of serving on the Board of Commissioners (BOC) since October of 2020 and since December 2022 as your Mayor. I am very proud of the work the BOC, town staff and community volunteers have accomplished during this time.
I firmly believe Nolensville is an amazing place to live, work, and play. As with any growing town, Nolensville has its challenges and we have taken them on directly and successfully. Over the past four years, we have seen tremendous progress. We have created the town’s first paid full-time Nolensville Fire Department and built a new Fire Station. The Nolensville Police Department (NPD) has added additional officers and detectives. In regard to the NPD, I am most excited that we have taken the first steps for a new freestanding police station – a key step in meeting the department’s long term needs. Through long range planning and leveraging grant funding, the Town has purchased property for two community parks and improved existing park facilities by collaborating with Williamson County Parks and Recreation.
Improving the quality of our roads and attacking traffic issues is one of my major concerns. During my time serving on the BOC as both Commissioner and Mayor, I have and will continue to support and work closely with Town staff designing and implementing the road improvements for Sunset Road Phase III, Rocky Fork Road, the center turn lane for Nolensville Road (Nolensville Complete Street Project), and a right turn lane from Nolensville Road onto Sunset Road which is currently being constructed. Road projects take a significant amount of time. The planning, design, and right of way acquisition alone take multiple years to get a project to shovel ready status. It is imperative that we continue to move these projects to completion as quickly as possible and continue to plan and implement other improvements throughout Town.
(For more details on road projects visit The Town’s Current Projects website: https://storymaps.arcgis.com/collections/d69af0ea8db84a1db45b460a2b2eb554)
If re-elected, I will work to responsibly grow the police and fire departments to meet the safety needs of our Town, continue to push for completion of existing road projects and to develop new roadway projects to address traffic issues, and to make strategic park improvements through grants and partnerships with Williamson County.
I would love your support and vote as we work together to continue to make Nolensville the best place to call home.
