About Halie

About Halie

Halie was elected to the Nolensville Board of Commissioner's in October of 2020 and began serving as Mayor in December 2022. Halie and her husband, Michael moved to Nolensville in late 2009 from Knoxville, Tennessee. Halie and Michael have three children, Will, Anna, and Charlie who attend public school locally.  Halie is Director of Underwriting at a Franklin based property/casualty insurance carrier specifically geared towards cities and towns. She earned a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Over the past 15 years, Halie has worked with a variety of governmental entities including cities, towns, utility districts, and housing authorities from across the state through her job.

From youth sports to scouting, Michael and Halie stay active locally and love the sense of community Nolensville has to offer.  During her time on the Nolensville Board of Commissioners, Halie has advocated for road improvements that are currently being designed on Rocky Fork Road, encouraged planning for the 20-acre Sunset Road Town owned property that is being designed for a police station and park facility, and encouraged partnerships with Williamson County that benefit the community.

Halie's Involvement

  • Voted to Fund and Build the Nolensville Fire Station
  • Voted to hire the Town's first Fire Department employees
  • Voted to engineer and design Rocky Fork Road Improvements, Sunset Road Phase III improvements, the Nolensville Road Complete Street Project, and Nolensville Road southbound Turn Lane (currently in construction)
  • Advocated for and secured a $1.2 million Local Parks & Recreation Fund Grant to build recreation facilities on Sunset Road
  • Voted to begin the design process for a stand-alone Nolensville Police Department Facility
